Since then, models including the Iris+ and Zano have come out with the same feature. Now, Chinese/American company Ehang is successfully raising production funds for its Follow-equipped GoPro-toting Ghost Drone. Developed in partnership with Duke University, not only is the quadcopter able to track and film its user, but it's also reportedly easier to fly than its competitors. That claimed ease-of-use comes courtesy of a smartphone-based iOS/Android control system, which Ehang tells us is more user-friendly than the control app used by the popular AR.Drone.By pressing onscreen buttons, users can cause the GPS-equipped Ghost to automatically take off, land, fly to and from selected waypoints, or hover in place.

It can additionally be set to Follow, of course, in which it homes in on the user's smartphone signal. As with the other user-following drones, however, it cannot sense and avoid obstacles while doing so.The copter's movements can also be manually controlled, using onscreen sliders – if users have opted for the optional gimbal mount, they can additionally pan and tilt their GoPro. It looks like using those controls could be rather fiddly, however, which is why it's fortunate that the control app also offers a Tilt function. This allows users to steer the drone simply by tilting their phone in different directions, as is demonstrated in the video below. The drone itself is powered by an 11.1-volt 5,400-mAh lithium-polymer battery, which should allow up to 30 minutes of flight time without the gimbal and camera, or about 20 with them attached. An included compact "G-Box" communicates with the phone by Bluetooth, and then proceeds to relay commands to the aircraft via radio signals up to a distance of 1,000 meters (3,280 ft).

Pledges are still being accepted, though, with US$375 getting you a basic gimbal- and GoPro-less Ghost – units are already being shipped to backers.

microdrone md4-1000 precio My son had same problem so I scouted for answer, couldnt find it so i rang helpdesk. Wait for lights to go green Hold power button for 20 seconds (a little longer for luck) Release and drone is reset when you turn back on I also got same problem with my MINI Drone cargo.. It doesn't really hard hit/crash.. one of motor keep spinning and can't charge.. if anyone know how to fix it please help... Hello, My name is Eloy and I am 10.

Today is one of the collest days of my life because I got my Parrot Blaze drone as a present from the 3 wise men. I have only flown my drone twice inside my house and the second time had a small crash (with the protections). Now the back right propeller (when the drone is facing you) does not stop EVER as long as the drone has battery, and although once the app connects the other propellers will work after pressing TAKE OFF, it cannot be controlled, trimed or anything.Of course we also cannot charge it since the propeller will continuously be turning (just as well atht I bought the extra battery)... We (with my daddy who is a telecoms engineer) have tried to reset it to the original state in the app, press the level button when it was on a flat surgace to try and level it back, everything, but nothing has worked and we cannot find anything in the web that can help us eitehr. I only have 3 days left to play with it before I have to go back to school, Can you help me, please? Same problem here with my mini drone airborne night.

I have emailed parrot tech support and its been a week now with no response. Hi this is Otto age 12 from from Hong Kong here and I have exactly the same problem; rear port propellor will not stop - and we have not crashed this drone either ...just went like this on a charge...only bought it yesterday with ALL my pocket money from the past 6 months !! My Dad (who is not an engineer) has spent hours trying to re install the software, and then find a Parrot service centre in Hong Kong - in his words it seems "they are very happy to sell you one and then try and sell you another but service the things - no way". My dad may not be an engineer, but he is a lawyer and Parrot SA may in his words about to get: "a rocket propelled drone...with law suit attached" if this turns out to be a wide spread problem and they make no effort to look after the kids who work hard save their money and buy these things that do not work. Anyone from Parrot interested to provide a solution - or are they too busy selling the things to ensure they work?

I do have exactñy the same problem, and noe I am more concern as it seems that no solution was found!!! Please help from Parrot!!!! i've had a problem installing the update and haven't even had the opportunity to fly mine around before it has problems. but in the process of researching for ways to reset the drone so i can try the update again, i found in one of the user manuals that you can reset the drone via the app. swipe left to bring up the menu, then scroll down to settings and tap it. in there is all your drones setting, and if any of them can be reset there is an circular arrow in the top right hand corner that should do exactly that. unfortunately this doesn't work for me as even though i attempted to install the update it hasn't registered as it being updated, resulting in it thinking its already at its original setting, but i also cant re-install the update as obviously parts of the installation have worked and its picking up on the computer that there is a problem.

back to trying to find answers. if anyone knows a way around this you will be a legend in my eyes and your story of your heroicness will be passed down for generations to come ;p I had the same problem with my Rollin Spider and here's what worked. - First do a factory reset on the App. You will see a reset icon on the top right corner in the app -Second remove all the propellers and swap their positions interchanging left to right and from one side to the other. - press down the propellers till you 'feel' or hear a clicking in sound. - on the app choose the normal mode and you are all set to go.
